The Multi-Resolution Navigation Module (Retired) was previously included in the Image IE for this IOD but has been retired. See PS3.3-2021c.
In prior releases, the Frame of Reference Module had a Usage of M; see PS3.3-2024e. However, since a single Series is spatially defined by a single Frame of Reference, to allow for Images within the same Series that may not be spatially related to the Images of the Multi-Resolution Pyramid, such as some LABEL and OVERVIEW images, the inclusion now has Conditional Usage.

The Code Sequences within the Optical Path Sequence (0048,0105) of the Optical Path Module (see Section C.8.12.5) are constrained as follows:

For Illuminator Type Code Sequence (0048,0100) BCID 8125 “Microscopy Illuminator Type” may be used.
For Illumination Color Code Sequence (0048,0108) BCID 8122 “Microscopy Illuminator and Sensor Color” may be used.
For Illumination Type Code Sequence (0022,0016) BCID 8123 “Microscopy Illumination Method” may be used.
For Lenses Code Sequence (0022,0019) BCID 8121 “Microscopy Lens Type” may be used.
For Light Path Filter Type Stack Code Sequence (0022,0017) and for Image Path Filter Type Stack Code Sequence (0022,0018) BCID 8124 “Microscopy Filter” may be used.
For Channel Description Code Sequence (0022,001A) BCID 8122 “Microscopy Illuminator and Sensor Color” may be used.
