        <td rowspan="1" colspan="1" valign="top"><para>Rationale for Correction:</para>
<para>Beginning with Sup 49 (enhanced MR), the enhanced family of IODs all use the concept of
"image flavor" for Value 3 and "derivation" for Value 4 of both Image Type and Frame Type.
Further, the VM of Frame Type is defined in PS3.6 as fixed at 4.
The Enhanced US Volume (Sup 43) IOD is the one exception, and uses the terminology "are not used"
for these values, which raises doubt as to whether empty values should be sent, or no values
(which have different representations, e.g. "ORIGINAL\PRIMARY\\" versus "ORIGINAL\PRIMARY").</para>
<para>In practice, since Enhanced US Volume images may be acquired in different
circumstances that can indeed be described with the common "flavor" defined terms, and
since they may also be derived, it is proposed to permit the reuse of the same common
terms as all the rest of the enhanced family of IODs.</para>
