During the last two years, Biomedical Engineering Society has played a faithful role in the DICOM Committee as a DICOM promoter in Taiwan medical environments. In March 2003, a new organization, Medical Image Standards Association of Taiwan (MISAT), is established to gather more people, more strength and more resources to promote DICOM in Taiwan. All fields of specialists, including medical doctors, academic researchers, government officials and industrial developers join this association for better implementation of fully DICOM-compatible medicine. Since this association will be a more appropriate organization on behalf of the DICOM promotion job in Taiwan, Biomedical Engineering Society has made this dicision to transfer her Committee membership to MISAT. Sincerely we hope that DICOM Standards Committee would agree with this membership transfer and help MISAT with essential processes. We believe MISAT will continue our efforts and achieve a further success in DICOM-related topics in the future.
